So we started watching the HBO series "Rome" on DVD. Since we're geeks we've turned on the "pop-up" video function where factoids about Rome pop up on the screen during the show. It's pretty cool, I have to say.
No. 1 Ladies was wonderful. I enjoyed watching a show that was well written, smart, funny and didn't come with a million content warnings. Like you, I am hoping for another season.
By the way, I looked for the books at the county library and every one was checked out - looks like the show stirred interest in the books.
I'm a thirty-something-or-other, soon-to-be-single, fashion follower headed to the City of Light to Eat, Pray, Shop.
Follow along and see what I'm wearing. I figure if I'm going to be in Paris, I've got to "Bring It" (even if I am limited to only one carry-on bag).

Sounds neat. I love watching shows on DVD - no commercials and you don't have to wait until the following week for the next episode.
It's wonderful!! I love not having commercials, and the fact that you can see everything all at once if you want to!! :)
By the way-- did you enjoy the rest of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series? I hope they bring it back next season, I really liked watching it!
