What Gives?
Here is a story on MSNBC about Muslim cab drivers in Minneapolis who have been refusing to transport passengers with dogs (including service animals) and people carrying liquor. My thought is, if you drive a cab for a living, you really don't get to make choice about (a) who you pick up, (b) where you're taking them, and (c) what's the best way to get to your destination. I'm all for cab drivers making decisions based on their own safety (i.e. okay, you don't have to pick up the scary guy in a ski mask with a bulging coat pocket at 2am in the bad part of town), but if your religion is going to interfere with who you're wiling to drive somewhere when you're getting paid, then you need to find a new job.
